Our Power Lunch Columbia Facilitator is the Reverend A.A. Dicks, Jr.--a native of Columbia, SC. He is married to the former Miriam Denise Perryman. They have three beautiful children: two daughters Devin Sabrae` Escalera and Kennedy Morgan Dicks, and one son A. A. Dicks III.

Rev. Dicks earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina Agricultural and
Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. He has since earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a Master of Arts in Religion, with an emphasis in Theological Studies, from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina.

During his matriculation at NC A&T State University, Rev. Dicks answered the call to preach and delivered his initial sermon. He was licensed on March 29, 1998 and was later ordained on May 23, 1999 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where his father Reverend A. A. Dicks, Sr. is the pastor.

Passionate about education, Pastor Dicks began pursuing a career as a school teacher in February 2001, while developing his ministry gift as the Youth Pastor of The MEETING Place Church International in Columbia, South Carolina—Eric J. Freeman, Senior Pastor. Since that time, his capacity to serve in ministry has increased tremendously. As a result he was appointed as the Assistant to the Pastor of The MEETING Place Church International in April 2002. Pastor Dicks has since grown and has assumed more responsibilities at the church and currently serves as the Executive Pastor.

One of the most unique ministerial responsibilities that Pastor Dicks has assumed is facilitator of Power Lunch Columbia, an outreach ministry whose mission is to “Bring Worship to the Workplace”. Power Lunch is a nationwide movement founded by the Rev. Matthew L. Watley, who began this ministry on September 10, 2001 in Washington, DC. The movement has since grown and is now held in Atlanta, Columbia, Baltimore, and a host of other cities across the U.S.

Rev. Dicks continues to grow and flourish in faith, while helping others discover God’s plan for their lives. He strongly believes that God has placed him in this world to increase the quality of life and standard of living of individuals and families by the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
